Spent over a decade at Microsoft in Seattle building database & cloud products for the enterprise, and later on consumer/mobile products in the area of AI including launching the first version of Microsoft’s AI assistant, Cortana. As part of Cortana, he built the AI platform to personalize user experiences. Subsequently, he moved to India to collaborate with e-commerce tech start-up Silk cloud in late 2014 that was acquired by Unity in 2015. Since then, he has launched two more start-ups. One, in the area of Virtual Reality and Second on cross-border e-commerce. Prior to Microsoft, he was on the founding team of Trilogy India after completing his Bachelors in Computer Science from IIT Bombay in 2000
Having deep expertise in consumer business. Spent 15 years with leading Retail and FMCG organizations. Was Head of Sales at Metro Cash & Carry, India and Raymonds FMCG. Had also headed the Reseller business and CRM & Pricing functions for Metro Cash & Carry, India. Spent initial years of his career at Citibank and Britannia Industries Ltd. Did his MBA from NITIE, Mumbai, which is the mecca of supply chain in India and was the Gold Medalist of his batch. Did Computer Science Engineering from NIT, Jamshedpur. Is deeply passionate about bringing the small and medium manufacturers closer to the middle-income population of the country, thereby, creating tremendous value for both consumers and manufacturers.
He is an entrepreneur, techno-commercial senior management professional with 19+ years of multi-functional experience in scaling-up business profitably from inception. Has spent 4+ years as the COO of an EdTech start-up AEON Learning. Was co-founder & VP operations at Myntra (India’s #1 Fashion site) and setup its operations. Has built several businesses including a restaurant and another fashion site. He will be looking at the operational setup & logistics, customer experience and HR functions for DealShare. He is a B.Tech of NIT Calicut.
Rajat has spent more than a decade building product experiences for top e-com companies, solving a variety of problems on discovery, acquisition and ops efficiency. Before joining Dealshare, he was chief of product for Foodpanda (Ola), where he played a key role in scaling the platform for growth. As product leader at Jabong, he played pivotal role in transforming the erstwhile horizontal into a fastest growing fashion platform. Prior to that at Myntra, he played quasi-business product role building the first fashion platform of the country. He founded two startups, first Figwish, in personal care and beauty segment, second Buzzl, a startup in hyperlocal merchandise discovery. He has also been providing consulting to startups in AI/ML based medical and customer service space. He has graduated from IIT Roorkee and IIM Indore.
